Why I coach
For years, I tried to be impressive. Titles, success, recognition. But it wasn't until I started doing the inner work that I realized what I really wanted was to feel whole—and to help others do the same. Coaching became the natural path forward.
My path into coaching didn't begin with a certification. It began with the realization that chasing success was no longer enough. I wanted to lead from consciousness—and help others do the same. That's what I bring to every session: clear strategy, honest reflection, and a deep belief that you already have what you need—if you can see it.

Professional journey: From builder to guide

I spent over two decades building in tech—first writing code, then leading partnerships at Facebook, Segment, Amperity, and Framer. Along the way, I helped launch companies like Instagram and Airbnb, seeing up close how startups scale—and where they get stuck. I also advise companies like Crossbeam and Runway navigate the difficulties of scale.
What I learned is that the real challenges leaders face aren’t usually strategic. They’re human. The ability to think clearly under pressure, stay grounded in uncertainty, and lead with integrity when the stakes are high matters more than any business framework.
As a founder and former executive, I know the weight of carrying other people’s livelihoods, the loneliness of making the final call, and the pressure of navigating complex dynamics. That’s why I coach: to give leaders a grounded space to pause, reflect, and move forward with clarity.

I'm one of only a few coaches globally certified in Middle Path methodology—a framework trusted by 160+ startups and multiple VC firms. This isn't another management theory. It's a systematic approach to leadership development that addresses both strategic thinking and inner work.
The exclusivity isn't accidental. Middle Path certification requires deep personal work alongside strategic training. It's designed for coaches who can bridge the gap between business results and human development.
Strategic Clarity + Grounded Self-Awareness
I bridge strategic thinking and inner work
Most leaders already know the answers. What they need is the clarity and steadiness to act on them. That’s the muscle we build together.
I become a true advocate in the fog of leadership.
With no competing interests as employee, investor, or board member, I'm often the only person in your professional circle whose sole agenda is your success and happiness.
I bring proven tools to enable your growth.
This isn't just conversation. We use Middle Path methodology, Hogan assessments, 360 reviews, and pattern-matching across high-performing leaders to create lasting change.
I practice what I preach.
I'm actively engaged in my own growth through daily breathwork, physical training, and reflection. As a father to two daughters and board member driving governance reform, I live the integration of strategy and consciousness I ask of my clients.
Personal practices and curiosity
Leadership development requires ongoing practice, not just insight. My daily routine includes breathwork, physical training, and structured reflection—the same disciplines I encourage in clients.
I'm constantly curious and committed to learning. I started flying at 14, became an avid photographer at 16, and won a state tennis championship at 18. My latest pursuits include perfecting espresso shots, handling electrical work on my house, and increasing my VO2 max. These pursuits reflect the sustained curiosity and willingness to learn that characterize effective leaders.
As a board member for Pacific Primary, I'm leading governance reform while staying connected to the work of organizational development and strategic change.

Pattern-matching across leadership moments
Twenty-plus years in tech means I've seen the same leadership challenges across hundreds of founders and executives: fundraising pressure, hiring mistakes, culture drift, crisis management, and scaling transitions.
This pattern-matching allows me to help clients see their challenges with fresh perspective. What feels unique and overwhelming to you is often part of a recognizable pattern with proven approaches.
